Hi readers, I was looking online and found these adorable printable guinea pigs that don't need glue!
Click here to go to the website i found them on and click on the picture of the guinea pigs.
I went a bit crazy and made 14 by tracing round one of the baby piggies!
These are great as a party activity or on a rainy day. You can use scraps of paper that otherwise wouldn't be used, as long as one side is blank, otherwise you could end up with a multi coloured guinea pigs!
I hope you will try making these,
Book Worm :)

DIY earring storage box
Hi readers, Who has lost earrings?! It is so annoying! Here is a great idea for storing earrings that I made.
What do you need?
A flip up cardboard box. I used one that nail varnish came in which also had a mirror(useful if you don't have a mirror or on holiday.
A CLEAN(Brand new) sponge. Tesco or another super market have these in the cleaning isle.
A permanent marker. I got mine from Home Bargains.
An empty Claire's (or another company. Poundland do them too) nail decoration box
A white sticky label. Post Offices or stationary shops have these.
How to make it

DIY Cuddle cups
Hi readers, I have transferred this from my other blog. Awhile ago I made a new cuddle cup for the piggies because they nibbled the old ones until they had holes in and I had to throw them away. I found this DIY on Crafts, Cavies and Cooking You can visit it here.
A template makes it easier to cut.
This is the lining fabric.
This is the outside fabric.
And of course the wadding.
Once both inside and outsides are sewn together, insert the cotton piece into the fleece piece, right sides together, matching the back seam and front dip. Stitch around top edge with a 3/8" seam, leaving a few inches open on one edge to turn inside out.
Turn right sides out, pressing the fleece corners into the cotton corners, molding it into it's bowl-like shape. Either whip-stitch close the opening or top-stitch the entire outer edge. Stay-stitch the bottom, 1" from the outside edge. Finished!!
Thank you Sally of Crafts, Cavies and Cooking for letting me use her tutorial.
I haven't used it yet but I will tell you how they like it. I hope you will try this DIY,
Book Worm :)
Instructions: I started with the following pieces, each cut from batting, fleece and cotton material:
11 inches square for base pieces and 44 inches long for strips round the outside.
I treated the layer of cotton and batting as a single piece of fabric, stitching all of the seams through both layers. The batting should go on the wrong side of the cotton material.
Then, right sides together, stitch the short ends of the strips together with 1/4" seam to make a loop.
Then, right sides together, stitch the short ends of the strips together with 1/4" seam to make a loop.
Stitching the sides to the bottom is like stitching a binding to the edge of a quilt. I find sewing straight edges easier than curved edges, but there are corners to deal with.
Next step: stitch the cotton/batting bottom to the sides. Mark the center of the dip and the middle of one edge of the bottom. Pin the side to the bottom, right sides together. Pin it to the corner and stitch from the middle front to corner, ending the seam 1/4" from the end. Fold and pin side of the cozy like a quilt binding to the next bottom edge and stitch. Continue in this fashion around the rest of the cozy bottom. Repeat with the fleece material.

DIY glass jam jar tutorial using nail varnish or glass paint
Hi readers, I thought this would be a good first tutorial as it is simple and doesn't take to long.
What do you need?
Nail Varnish. Any type will do but good quality will work best. I got some of mine in Poundland and Tesco.
Glass Paint. You can use this as well as the Nail Varnish or instead for a nice shiny finish.
A old Jam Jar or Honey Jar(or jelly jar if you're in the USA).
Step 1:
Clean the jar thoroughly and soak the label of in warm water for a while to get the label off or even better find a jar that doesn't have a label!
Step 2:
Find a template if you want to have a neat pattern or start free handing a design.
Step 3:
Wait for each area to dry before turning it as you won't want it to smudge!
Step 4:
Put Sweets, hair slides, hair bands etc in it or give it to someone else as a gift. Just don't drop it like I did!
I hope you will try doing this,
Book Worm :)

DIY toys
Hi readers, I have transferred this from my blog "Guinea pigs r cute"
how to make DIY toys for your guinea pigs.
The first thing is to decide what materials to use; I personally use any cardboard boxes big and small. You can also use pieces of wood and cardboard.
The first DIY toy is a very simple and easy hidey house. To start with you want to have a good sized cardboard box and CAREFULLY with a craft knife or really sharp scissors cut a good sized hole in at least 2 places if it going to be for more than 1 guinea pig or cut out a whole side.
The second DIY is called the hay n treat tube. You will be able to find what you need in your house or garden.
This is what you'll need: Toilet or kitchen roll inner tubes, Hay, Suitable treats, Veggies and Scissors.
Lets get started, first of all you will need to cut either type of tube to the size you want or leave it whole for a more challenging hay n treat tube. Next put in the hay and as another option put in a safe stick for you guinea pigs to gnaw on and then put in the treats and veggies of your choice. Now your hay n treats is finished.
The last DIY toys is a hay bag; I tried this with my guinea pigs and they weren't very impressed!!!
This is what you'll for the hay bag: A paper bag, Hay and scissors. so this DIY is simple for you to make and all the bits you'll need will be very easy to find around the house and garden.
This is what you need to do... Remove any handles from the bag and stuff with hay and if you want to add some dry treats for them to find.

DIY Christmas hats for small animals
Hi readers, I have transferred this from my other blog "Guinea pigs r cute"
I did these for my piggies and they looked really cute so I thought I would do a how to post.
What you'll need:
Red, green or white felt.
White pompoms(however many you need)
Christmas buttons(optional)
Sewing needle(fine if possible)
Sewing thread(colour should be the same as felt if possible)
Sharp scissors(if you are a small child ask an adult to do the cutting for you)
Step 1
Cut a circle of felt the right size for your small.
Step 2
When making the cone cut a slit to the centre of the circle.
Step 3
Overlap the edges of the circle slightly and sew a neat line of stitches with your needle to make it stay together.
Step 4
Time to sew on the pompom. To sew the pompom on go through the point of the hat and thread the pompom onto it and go up and down a few times to secure it on.
Step 5
If you want to add a button or two this is how to do it. Put the needle through where ever you want to put them and thread it onto the needle. Then pull the needle right through and down through the other hole. Repeat this a few times for as many buttons you want to put on.
Step 6
Finished.

DIY Houses for small pets (Rabbits and Rodents)
Hi readers, I have transferred this from my other blog "Guinea pigs r cute"
I thought I would do one for a DIY house.
This is one of the simplest DIY houses as it is just made out of a large shoebox or any other box you have of a largeish size. To make this house you will need to cut off any flaps and if it has a lid you will want to take the lid off. To cut the holes you can use a sharp pair of scissors or a stanley/craft knife. the size of the holes will depend on the size of your guinea pig but for a fully grown guinea pig it should be about 20cm high and 15cm wide but it can be just about any shape you want. Once you have cut the hole you can decorate it with non toxic pens. Normally the ones that are for young children will be non toxic.
I thought this love heart was cute and another great way to decorate it is to draw grass round the bottom.
I hope you like the DIY house,
Book Worm :)

Guinea Pig Banana Cookies
Hi readers, I have transferred this from my other blog "Guinea pigs r cute"
A while ago I made these cookies for my piggies, using a recipe from Erin, on Pets Palace TV on You Tube. Here's the link to Erin's channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/PetsPalaceTV.
What you need: 2 Bananas, 1 cup of Oatmeal, 2 table spoons of Raisins and 2 table spoons of Water.
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
2. Peel, mash and blend Bananas and make sure there are no lumps.
3. Add Oatmeal and mix together.
4. Add Water and stir.
5. Add the raisins and combine all the ingredients till smooth(ish).
6. Place in small teaspoonfuls on a baking sheet/tray and bake for around 8-10 Minutes.
7. Take out once cooked and let them cool down.
8. Store in a airtight container.
Tips:
Make a half batch if you only have a small group of piggies or it's the first time you've made them just incase your piggies don't like them.
Try using Carrot or Apple instead of Banana
Try them yourself! I tried them and I liked them and I don't like banana that much!
Don't have Oatmeal? If you find you don't have Oatmeal like I did, you can just put normal oats in a blender to make them finer and you will have Oatmeal.
I hope you will try making these,
Book Worm :)
